Starting BW Problem

My current version is 1.1
But sometimes when i start the game, during the black and white logo comes out, a lot of times there is an error saying that unable to start the game........
What can I do to fix this problem?
 
Try installing the 1.20 patch.  If you're operating on XP (which most users are nowadays if they're not using Vista), then this patch solves alot of stability issues like this.

It sometimes also happens even though it was v1.2 .......
It doesn't show any error window but it just close the window of a topic ''Black & White'' ........
Do you have such problem happening when starting the game?
 
Ah.  Just remembered another you could try with a problem like that.

I can't remember exactly where, but try to find the runblack.exe file for the game.  It might be in C:/Program Files/Lionhead Studios/Black and White/.

Once you find it, right-click on it and select Properties.

Go to the Compatibility tab.

In the Compatibility mode section, tick the checkbox that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for", then select an OS that is older than XP.  Windows 2000 seems to do the trick, but you can try something older too and see if that works.

Can anyone confirm the path above?
 
What if it's still not working?
What am I gonna do~~~?
I usually start about 3 or 4 times for it to enter the game.......
And sometimes I couldn't even entered and then i gave up playing it a while.....
Then....isn't there any ways of fixing this problem?
Nobody ever seen such problem eh?

No point in worrying about something that hasn't happened yet.  Not when there are still things to try :) .

I've already tried it....
the path is :program Files\Lionhead Studios Ltd\Runblack.exe
i changed it to windows 95 and try startin and others too.....
I can start when it's windows 95 but the second time it wont start -__-''
i think it's still the same....
so, anyways more?

I think I remember seeing something about disabling AGP texture accelerator(or something like that) in your video setting. This is assuming that your video card is AGP and not PCIe. If not just ignore me.

What are your system's specs and are you drivers up to date?
Try disabling sound.
 
Where can I find that AGP accelerator thing?
Is it in the options in the game or BW setup?
i've checked all my drivers, and it's the most latest version


I can start BW the first time i clicked it .....
But I haven't try a few more times.......
Without the sound the game isn't fun at all is it?
