Hi, I think that a Basset hound would be difficult to do for a number f reasons. The main one being that the body shape of the wolf does not ressemble that of a basset hound.

The second is that the skin of the wolf is mirrored from side to side so the patches on the skin will be repeated on each side.

 
I didn't say never, I just don't think it would look right. We can only alter the textures, not the model

The basset hound is stuby with short legs and long floppy ears. A wolf is thin and well.. wolf looking. Place a few splotches on him and he'll look more like a German shepard than a Basset hound.
 
The lion may work for the basset hound. Unlike the tiger it is not super cat looking, and unlike the wolf its a bit more... houndish? but yeah, it may work for bw1. Maybe not for bw2.
 
Lol, I think the cow might be the most suited if you ignore the udder and pretent the horns are floppy ears. :p

On the plus side it is the only skin which is not mirrored from side to side.
