Firefly problem - Fireflies don't turn into miracle seeds

Hi, couldn't find any posts about this so figured I'd start one

In my game no miracle seeds seem to come from fireflies. The only time it's happened was when I picked up that rock by the hermit, he mentions about how it works - though no seed has appeared since by any area - in the main game or skirmishes. Is this something to do with a patch?

(windows 10, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 installed in sequence)

Any help greatly appreciated as this aspect of the game is important to me.

Fireflies only spawn when there are script files hidden. A script is basically where the game tells where entities spawn, and is only used once when the map is loading for the first time. so to have this is inreidibly unlucky. I suggest placing Rocks next to objects like houses to attract fireflies. its the only game mechanical way to spawn them
