every thing is slow

black & white 2 is running so slow and choppy. i have an


Intel Pentium 4 processor 3.06 GHz
200GB hard drive
1.0 GB of DDR RAM
ATI radeon xpress 200  (256MB shared video memory)
40x CD drive

i just don't see why it's so slow and choppy. :help
 
I can give you two reasons and both are your graphics card.

For a start it's not one of the fastest available and then it's crippled by having to share memory.

Shy of getting a new card, if that is at all possible, the best you can do is to lower the graphics detail to get some more speed. But then you might loose any detail that you do have.

i have resolution and quality always all the way down and it is still bad but what video card should i get that would allow bnw2 to run smoothly. :beerwanted:

Well, it's not quite as easy as going out buying a card and putting it in. :no

That's mainly due to the fact that your video card is built into your computer. If it's a laptop then there's probably no way that you can upgrade it.  If it's a PC, then you'll need to determine if it's got an open AGP or PCIe slot into which you can install a new card. Unless you're willing to open the covers and look inside, why don't you post what band and model your PC is and I'll see what I can find.
