Destructive Miracle Lighting Affects

I noticed that when I watch B&W 1 videos I see that when the player casts any three of the destructive miracles everything around it glows (and, also, the lighting miracle has sound)! 
Perhaps the Mac version has none of theses features? Is there an option to turn these options on or off?  ???  I would just like to know, answers are appreciated!

The lighting effects might be related to graphical detail level. Maybe you have to be at least set to High or something. As far as I know, there is no way to turn off the sound for the lightning miracle. That's all the information I can come up with.

The video options are:

Maximum Detail

Millions of Colors

1920 x 1200

and the check box "High-Res Textures" is checked.

My guess is when they ported it to Mac they left a few things out, like this.
