by the way, what is the editor you use for black and white 1?

I only have the landscape editor for black and white 2...

which is probably easier to use tha black and white 1...

The editor for BNW1 is BNWSurveyor something...Check the downloads.

All of the editors for the original game are player made and can be found here.

BWSurveyor is the best for landscapes. For the maps,  it's either World Mod or BWExpress
MapEditor.

I never seemed to learn how to map. I can only edit the created maps.

No that is how you learn....
Make small changes to  existing maps and  see the changes.
.
The more you learn the more changes you can make until the "map" is so different it is yours.

I used some maps as texture refrences, but I never acualy changed the maps...

I just edit maps in BNW1 it's fun and all but I need help with placing objects, I don't get Y axis and X axis thingies.

well, I haven't done any editing for black and white 1 yet, but I guess that the x and y axisis are thhe same in black and white 2, I hardly ever use them, usualy I only use them for rotateing rocks and shch... but I don't realy know about black and white 1...
