Warmth question

Has anyone figured out what warmth does for a creature in BW1? I was thinking it had to do with dehydration, but its difficult to track that correlation, except for drinking water to cool itself down. The big question if there is an optimal status for warmth, or does it really depend on his current environment.

I think it was just another  unfinished bit that got left in the game.
The to hot was done but the  reaction for  a cold  or  normal  never made it.

Actually, my creature will sometimes shiver and blow on its hands "trying to warm itself up" if it is actively being snowed on. But it is certainly easier, it seems, for it to get warm: It can happen from being on fire (derp), overexerting itself or just periodically when it isn't raining or snowing.

I've always spanked it for doing so so that it won't waste time, since I figure it's pretty much shown no positive or negative effect aside from that. Same with dehydration. Never once had a creature faint from dehydration.
