Windows 7 64 bit.
I just bought a copy of the game off ebay, installed it, and patched it to 1.1. When I try to patch to 1.2 it gives me an error message saying I need to patch to 1.1 first.
When I click to start it asks for permission to let white.exe make changes to my computer. I say yes. Then nothing happens. No program launches. No error message.
I tried going to properties to check the box that says "run as administrator".
I try to patch to 1.3. It says error opening file for writing C:\Program Files (x86)\Lionhead Studios\Black & White\white.exe
I tried hitting "ignore" and it completes patching. But still I cannot start the game.
I don't know if it matters, but the ebay listing referred to this as the "European Version" of the game. Is that a different build of the game that isn't compatible with all this stuff?
