Children don't grow up

I'm currently trying out some custom maps. I found out that it's really hard to play with 40 adults and hundreds of 1 year olds running after their mothers, 10 kids per mother. :shocked

First time that happend was with Paradise Islands: City Builder. I assumed there was a bug in the map. But then I started Tranquil Paradise and the same bug occured. Kids demand lots of houses and never grow any older than one year.

I already tried to repair the B&W installation, didn't help.
Has anyone had this problem before (couldn't find anything with the search) and found a solution?

Just get rid of the crack you are using.
End of story, This crack has been mucking up games  for more than a year now.
Reply if you don't have one installed.

Crack? I guess you mean a no-cd patch? Nope, don't use that.
Also, that glitch didn't occur before I played custom maps.
Thanks anyway.

Are there other suggestions about what could happen with custom maps?
Only other thing I did besides copy the files of the map, was tweak the GameBalanceResourceGeneral file for bigger yield from fields.

OK since no-one else will say anything your "tweaked game" is actually technically cracked  and may notwork as LHS intended.

Meanwhile I re-installed the game and it works again - even with the change in the GameBalanceResourceGeneral file.
Had to be another problem... thanks anyway.
