Cant save on CI

:no Im really po'ed right now. whenever I save and quit, i start the game back up, and no game saves in the temple! I just got 3/4 through the game again and IT DID THE SAME THING! Please tell me how to recover the saves or something i do not want to play all that way through again!  :no

Have you got the patches installed?

Do you see any saves in your profile in the game folder?

Just had a quick look at my install of CI.
I have V1.23 with No Cd
The auto saves look normal and the save seems to work OK but I have never used them as the "continue game" option is all you need as there is no advantage to going back to a previous save.
Are you saying you have no saves of any kind recorded if so this could be a windows "permissions" problem.
