Hello. I am new to "Black & White 2".

Yeah, that pretty mush sums it up. I have also shelved the game for now to see if they introduce a skirmish or not. I'm the kind of person who demands extreme re-playability in games. Random maps, skirmish etc. Playing a storyline over and over again just doesn't cut it for me. I was expecting a...

Agreed. The influence gained from buildings is way too small. I find you have to build something other than houses for the sole purpose of extending the influence. I'm not saying you should be able to control half the map, but it's ridiculous right now.

    Funny pictures

They dance in the stockpile with no one watching. Or they walk around saying "talk to the hand."  More here

    House organizing

Well if you like your stock houses nice and tidy, then you'll either really need to balance the resources or simply build more. I don't find balancing resources to be an easy task. It seems that you either have a ton of food lying around or you're running out. I can't seem to get a balance...

    House organizing

Well, about the stockpiles - you may be missing something. I don't see the need to create a large amount. Yes, they become full easily - but here's something I've noticed. If you accept a migration with lots of resources, and your stockpiles are full, you do not lose the resource. Take a...

Good questions, here's my take. To answer the broad question: I separate industry and residential. The obvious reason is the happiness factor. Industrial buildings have a negative happiness effect to surrounding buildings. Some other reasons include the positive effects industrial buildings...

    What are you hoping for...

We desperately need skirmish. I don't think there's anyway to bypass the entire tutorial since its presence is felt all the way through Land 4. At least with skirmish we could get away from the storyline.

Nice one. That should keep the tiger occupied for awhile. Is your wolf dancing in the pic? Must be something with good wolves. :rolleyes Mine danced constantly. He danced when no one was around. He danced after a fight. He danced in the stockpile. He danced next to the walls. He danced ... well...

    Creature Features and Aesthetics

This is a known glitch with the wolf's face, and has been reported and discussed over on the official forums. There's nothing wrong with your game or settings. Essentially, the wolf's face doesn't render properly for some alignments. This explains why he looks ok sometimes and not others...

    Stupid archers

Well that's true - they usually go crazy for the smallest things. I was more referring to when a lone catapult starts taking down your wall. It's rather annoying to come back and see a wall missing or heavily destroyed and you didn't hear a thing about it. Perhaps increasing the noise the rocks...

OH MY GOD. I'M SO STUPID.

Did you install it? If so ... this program runs in the background and can do numerous things. The part you're interested in (as per this topic) involved the screenshot capability. As Kays pointed out, images get taken as a BMP file. These are very detailed, but also very large. As such they are...

    Stupid archers

Either way, there's definitely not enough "alarms" in this game. It would be nice to have some kind of signal that a siege weapon is in the process of destroying a wall. If I'm on the other side of a huge city, there's no way I'm going to know. The city icons will flash at the bottom, but that...

Wow, nice build. Thanks for the feedback too.  :) I figured when I was matching components that this would work great for newer games. I'm just a little worried about these random glitches that seem to be plaguing high end systems for no apparent reason. I'm sure that won't stop me though...

    Creatures : Too Generic now?

Yeah, you're right on with this. Technically you could leave your creature totally alone for a long time, and inside of 5 minutes pass judgement on anything he ever did. As you pointed out, half the time you're simply waiting for him to think about doing different stuff. There is no easy way to...

    Bizarre Glitch

Well I hope you get everything working. About the above - it has nothing to do with you. See my post here. You see this problem at random because it's contigent on your creature's alignment. Some alignments are ok, while others are not (40% good may be fine, but 45% will be no good etc).

Here's what I have now. Got this three years ago: Intel Pentium IV 2.4 GHz Asus P4PE motherboard MSI Geforce 4 Ti 4800SE 128 MB AGP 1 GB PC 2700 RAM I was thinking of buying this in the near future. AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice Core 1 GHz FSB Asus A8N-SLI motherboard BFG Geforce 6800GT 256 MB...

    Creature oddness.

There is a known graphical problem with the wolf that has been reported elsewhere. It's not your card or wolf. Similar problems happen with good wolves as well.

    Creatures : Too Generic now?

Well from a programming standpoint - you don't think that's what was actually going on in the background? That the program was keeping track of good/bad status for each action, much like it is now? I don't see how else a program could add up all of the punishments/rewards you've given to the...
