I got it working! The fix ended up being switching out my current 7800 graphics card to my older 4800, no more gaps in the land! it was lucky I saved that card!

Hey I have just installed all of the patches including the fan path but I still get gaps of missing land and the main menu screen seems to flicker. Another graphical glitch is that my creatures have no hair. I really want to be able to play this without the glitches, thank you for you help with...
